Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Bill Couturié and author Ellen Fitzpatrick joined the Brimmer and May community for the screening of the new film, Letters to Jackie.
Based on the book of the same name by Ellen Fitzpatrick, a professor at the University of New Hampshire, the film Letters to Jackie, by Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Bill Couturié, brings to life the letters that Jackie Kennedy received after her husbands assassination. The film premiered in Boston at the J.F.K. Library in September, and was made available to the School through Brimmer and May parent Howell Begle. Students in Middle and Upper School viewed 60 minutes of the 90-minute film and participated in a Q&A section following the film. Ms. Fitzpatrick and Mr. Couturié also attended a smaller discussion with Upper School students from a history class, the international relations class, and the Creative Arts Diploma Program.
