David Cutler and Carl Rapisarda-Vallely attended TedxBoston: Revolutionary Ideas Revisited.
Teachers David Cutler and Carl Rapisarda-Vallely attended TedxBoston: Revolutionary Ideas Revisited, in October, at the Great Hall at Faneuil Hall. The format, which affords speakers set stage time to promote "ideas worth spreading," has surged in popularity over the past several years—and it has Mr. Cutler and Mr. Rapisarda-Vallely thinking about how to bring the excitement closer to home.
“Our students are so passionate and innovative,” says Mr. Cutler, who teachers journalism and history. “Working with Mr. Rapisarda-Vallely, who teaches theatre and English, I would love to teach our students not only about pursuing their passions, but also about honing their speaking and performance skills. I could really see our students on a Tedx stage in the near future, and they definitely have ideas worth spreading.”
Tedx are independently run Ted-like events, with organizers receiving a license from TED. Click here for more information about TedxBoston.
