Grade 2 Learns about Production of Chocolate in Colonial Boston

Gr. 2 students recently had a visit from Old North Church members to learn about chocolate in colonial Boston.
The second grade was treated to a presentation by members of the Old North Church about the production and consumption of chocolate in colonial Boston, thanks to Brimmer and May tutor (and former reading specialist) Sandy Bigelow and her husband Ned. Students learned about spices, how to roast and grind cocoa beans and nibs, and how colonial Bostonians prepared and drank hot chocolate!
