Pre-K — Grade 1 Assembly: On the Farm. Here, There, and Everywhere
Drama students used literature to explore different types of farms all over the globe this fall. In art classes they created drawings to illustrate the stories they explored in drama. The students created the headpieces that they wore during their performances. In music, students sang about the animals on the farm. Children experienced the richness of foreign language texts.
Grade 2-5 Assembly: Somewhere in the World. Inspired by Somewhere in the World Right Now by Stacey Schuett. Students began the process of creating this performance by reading Schuett's book. They improvised scenes, contributed ideas for dialogue, and rehearsed their theater piece for the performance.
