The Middle School recently traveled to Camp Cedar in Maine for orientation.
The Middle School went to Camp Cedar in Maine for their annual orientation trip. Students spent the days getting to know their peers and their teachers as they participated in a variety of activities including outdoor initiatives, ropes course elements, sporting events, field games, collaborative challenges, and class meetings. This was a time for individuals and classes to set goals for the upcoming year and to gain a level of comfort and familiarity with risk-taking and collaborative learning.
Highlights of the Middle School trip to Camp Cedar included team raft building, a trip to Emerald Pools, and a high ropes course for 8th graders; canoeing and low ropes course for 6th graders; and the new high ropes elements for 7th graders.
