8th Grade China Exhibit

The eighth grade journal project incorporated students' research and writing in English, science, and history. They each developed a persona who had a specific purpose for traveling through a province and a municipality in China during the end of the Qing dynasty, the Republican period, or the early years of the People's Republic of China. Students wrote journals of approximately 15 pages, created maps of their journey, and developed visual pieces that evoked the geography, history, and culture their personas encountered throughout their trips.
